The Happiest Day of My Life

Question description

I am looking for a Narrative Essay. This essay will be a narration about the taking your first ever college course.Perhaps, telling the story from signing up for the course, through the end of the course. This will be minimum 500 words; maximum 750 words.

The narrative essay you are to tell a story ‘without’ dialogue…no he said ‘this’ or she said ‘that.’ Instead…tell the story. Aim to describe a realistic event–no retelling of fairy tales or creative Sci-Fi adventures, etc. You want a formal, academic essay on this one 🙂

Don’t do this:

Joe said, “You aren’t going over there.”

Jane said, “Yes, I am.”

Joe said, “If you do, I’m leaving for good.”

Jane said, “Alright, I won’t go.”

Instead…do this.

Joe and Jane argued about her going out, but she decided not to go when Joe threatened to leave her.

Not the best example…but you get the idea.

Other things to remember:

Double space and indent paragraphs

No you/your pronouns.

No dialogue

No subheadings

500 words minimum — 750 word maximum. Writing in a shorter space is harder to do effectively so remember not to go over the 750 word maximum 🙂

  • must have a clear thesis statement in the introduction and a restatement of that thesis in the conclusion.

  • You must have 5-10 different source citations. If you have less than 5, I will not accept your paper.

Designing Quantitative Research

Question description

Researchers consider validity and reliability with each new study they design. This is because validity and reliability are not fixed but rather reflect a particular study’s unique variables, research design, instruments, and participants.

In the context of research design, two types of validity, which speak to the quality of different features of the research process, are considered: internal validity and external validity. Assuming that the findings of a research study are internally valid—i.e., the researcher has used controls to determine that the outcome is indeed due to manipulation of the independent variable or the treatment—external validity refers to the extent to which the findings can be generalized from the sample to the population or to other settings and groups. Reliability refers to the replicability of the findings.

For this Discussion, you will consider threats to internal and external validity in quantitative research and the strategies used to mitigate these threats. You will also consider the ethical implications of designing quantitative research.

With these thoughts in mind:

WRITE an explanation of a threat to internal validity and a threat to external validity in quantitative research. Next, explain a strategy to mitigate each of these threats. Then, identify a potential ethical issue in quantitative research and explain how it might influence design decisions. Finally, explain what it means for a research topic to be amenable to scientific study using a quantitative approach.

Be sure to support your Main Issue Post and Response Post with references to the  Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA Style.

What were the consequences of the Spanish-American War (War of 1898) for American foreign policy

Question description

An ideal post would be two solid paragraphs (that includes a thesis statement, a body of supporting evidence, and a conclusion that summarizes the main points). The post should be well constructed and free of grammatical errors, and be between 250 and 300 words. You do not need to undertake outside research in order to answer the question; although you may, if you like. It is a wise strategy to create your response as a Word document (that way, you have a copy for yourself). You must cite your sources both in your response and below it (Bibliography), using the Chicago Style citation format. Students who do not cite their work can expect to receive only a minimum grade of 60% for this assignment. It is expected that our textbook by Shi and Tindall will be a source and should likewise be accessed and cited.

The book required is below:

David E. Shi and George Brown Tindall, America: A Narrative History, Vol. 2, 10th ed. (New York: W.W. Norton, 2016) [ISBN: 9780393265958].

Latin Youths Living in Cities

Introduction

Many of the Latin youths have to move to the cities in their countries to search for a good living and gain more knowledge in their lives. This is met by many challenges across those cities that make their lives difficulty as times goes. The youth is faced with a lot of obstacles in the cities before making it in life since the issue of slavery and discrimination within the cities has not been solved fully. In many decades now, this problem is increasing and the governments of the countries are trying hard enough to make the dreams of all citizens to become a reality including these youths(McCaskell, 2005 pg. 143). This paper explores some of the issues facing these youths in the cities and some of the employed strategies in which the institutions of power have or can employ to make sure every youth is not challenged by such issues in the coming days.

One of the issues facing the Latin youths within the cities is the one of inequality and the informal types of education the youths get. The increase on the issue of inequality at some point is caused by the gap between the rich and the poor in which the rich are said to be getting richer while the poor getting poorer. This issue of poor education and inequality has created a lot of challenges to these youths in which it ends up in violence within the cities since they are not educated. The rising issues of homicide and drug related problems from the Latin youths is a challenge in which all the public institutions are working had enough to counter them. The youths engage in such issues due to the problems they face of being unemployed and discrimination due to their races and color and lack of education to compete in the job market. This affect their lives a lot and lead to gang related violence within the cities all fueled by the act of being uneducated and discriminated. They have to find a way of living at all angles and this end up in a bad situation when they are not well taken care of by the Department of Education. Therefore, the issue of inequality and being uneducated among the Latin youths in the cities cause a lot of problems to the public institutions since this do not ever end in good terms within the cities and getting employed without good education qualifications is a problem (Fay, 2005 pg. 121).
