In most of the schools and colleges of the US, the MLA style of essay writing is the preferred one, especially for humanities and literature papers. The MLA papers are specific kinds of papers that follow a pattern and referencing style described in the MLA Handbook-8th edition. The format paper used in this style is an interleaf style (write on only one side) and there is no separate cover page. Additionally, the fonts used should be easy to read. Thus, one should avoid using fonts like Black Adder and Brush script. The 8th edition of the Handbook of Modern Language Association highlights the technicalities of this style of paper writing quite effectively and some important considerations are reviewed here.
